On October 24th, members of the Rotary Club of Port Perry joined Scugog Council to raise the flag in honour of World Polio Day — a global day of awareness and action in Rotary’s ongoing fight to end polio.

For over 35 years, Rotary Clubs around the world have worked tirelessly to eradicate this preventable disease. Thanks to international vaccination and awareness efforts, polio cases have been reduced by 99.9% worldwide — but the mission isn’t finished yet.

By continuing to raise awareness and funds, Rotary members and partners bring us closer every day to a world completely free of polio.

Together, we’re making history — one step, one vaccine, and one community at a time.
