Sponsorship Opportunities: Fall Memorial Classic Golf Tournament

As always, the distinguished Rotarians of Port Perry are looking to raise as much as possible for our immediate community who are in dire need after a few years of working through a Global Pandemic and shutdowns. Thus, we are appealing for support in the form of participation, gifts, donations, and Hole Sponsorship on the day of the tournament. There is also an elite opportunity to become a Major Donor / Sponsor at the $1,000.00 Level or higher. Hole Sponsors and Major Donors will be provided with community recognition and signage. Your signages can have any design you desire such as logo, name, and contact information. In addition to the signage, you can choose to have a representative at the specified hole who will be able to hand out business cards, promotional material, brochures, samples or whatever you feel is appropriate. Some of our major donors and Hole Sponsors from last year are already in place and have selected their spot on the course, don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity. You will receive a charitable donation tax receipt for the $500 hole sponsorship or Major Donor level at whatever level you choose.

History of the Port Perry Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Port Perry was chartered in 1981 with the support of the Rotary Club of Oshawa Parkwood. The original charter members set some lofty goals to promote Port Perry and Rotary in general. Fund raising started years ago with events such as Festival Days and the Port Perry Fair where Rotary members were manning a peameal on a bun booth. Port Perry Rotarians have also taken a lead role in serving Christmas dinners to senior shut-ins for many years, sold tickets for an elimination draw, created, and hosted a tremendous fund-raising golf tournament, established a successful Aquarama event on the shores of lake Scugog and hosted an outstanding Annual Gala. Oner of the more successful large- scale events was the very successful 3-day RibFest held in Port Perrys waterfront area of Palmer Park. All was done in the spirit of Rotary and with the sharp focus on raising funds for local and international campaigns

All Funds raised through the support of the community—by these and other events—have been reinvested in projects locally, regionally, nationally, and around the world.

The Rotary Club of Port Perry has been a constant contributor to large community of projects. A list of recent projects include:

• Port Perry Memorial Library redesign,

• Rotary Board Walk,

• The Port Perry Hospital & Port Perry Hospital Endoscopy Suites,

• Oak Ridge’s Hospice
