Open your home and change a life! The Rotary Club of Port Perry has been involved in the Rotary International Youth Exchange program for over 30 years. Each year our club sends a student from our local high school (age 16 or 17) and receives an inbound student from one of 80 countries. The program is one of many Rotary initiatives to foster world peace.
Each year, we send one of our local students (ages 16-17) abroad and welcome an exchange student from one of over 80 countries to live, learn, and experience life in Port Perry. It’s an incredible way to foster global peace and understanding, right here in our community.

We’re looking for local host families to volunteer for 3-4 months. All you need to provide is a bed, meals, and a welcoming home—the rest is about creating lasting memories and new family bonds. The student becomes part of your family, attending local high school and sharing in your everyday life.

This program has left lifelong connections for many families in Scugog, with former exchange students and hosts remaining close long after the program ends. But hurry—sign up by December 1st to be part of this life-changing experience!
