Well, winter has come full force tonight even as we look forward to the coming of Spring…..we can hope in any case. Before we get there though, we will have to go through some cool things. This coming Saturday our Exchange Student Lara will show us how to endure a jump into Lake Scugog as she participates in the Lakeridge Hospital Foundation’s Polar Plunge. We can give her some much needed support by being there for her when she makes the plunge.
On February 11th we are presenting our cheque for $50,000.00 to The Lakeridge Hospital Foundation to assist with their renovation project at the hospital. On the 18th we will host Dr. John Stewart and Cindy Lister to speak to the club about the details of that project.
As most of you know, work has begun on the Spring Gala with tickets being handed out by Michael Stewart. If you don’t have your tickets to sell, please contact Michael and he will be happy to provide you with them. This will be Joanne Fowler’s last time as chairman of The Gala so let us all pitch in and make this year's fundraising event be the best ever.
