Past President's Dinner - Well Done!

For the first time ever, our Club celebrated our Past President's Dinner at the Royal Ashburn. The food was great, the drinks were aplenty, and the company was (of course!) fantastic! We heard a well-delivered speech by Past President Bob Strickert on all the great things that were accomplished during his Presidency term. Awards were presented as follows:

Rotarian of the Year -- awarded to Ken Graham for his in many aspects of the Club but most notably for keeping all the Club's accounting and financials in good health and also for taking on many responsibilities with the exchange students. His wife, Kathy, was also instrumental in undertaking these tasks. Congratulations Ken - you deserve it!!

Paul Harris Fellow Recipients -- awarded to Jim Brady and Okchun Park 

The Paul Harris Fellow Award is the highest honour a club can bestow on a person, either inside or outside the club. The award therefore acknowledges "service above self" which that individual has offered to their community, their nation or indeed to the world. Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary and this award program was created to fund many Rotary Foundation programs. Members of the club must have collectively contributed US$1,000 to the Rotary Foundation for the privilege of recognizing a person in this way.
