
The Rotary Club of Port Perry is thrilled to announce that Adrienne Batra will be the Master of Ceremonies at the Annual Spring Gala, being held at Mill Run Golf Club on April 26, 2025. Adrienne is an award winning Canadian journalist and publisher and the editor-in-chief of the Toronto Sun.
She is a political commentator on TV, radio and print media. She previously served as a Lieutenant in the Primary Reserves of the Canadian Armed Forces before completing degrees in political science and public administration. Adrienne received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and served on the Board of Governors for the National Newspaper Awards and the Canadian Journalism Foundation.
The Annual Spring Gala is the primary fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Port Perry. The club supports our community, many local organizations and some international projects. Local recipients include the Oak Ridges Hospice, the Lakeridge Health Port Perry Hospital and Hospital Auxiliary, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Grandview Kids, Scugog Public Library and the Denise House Women’s Shelter. International support is provided for Polio Eradication, Youth Exchange Programs, safe drinking water projects in Africa and orphanages in Bolivia and India.
The Gala will be an exciting evening with live music, a delicious dinner, and fun at the live and silent auction. A wonderful evening to spend with friends and associates while supporting the work of Rotary.
