Currently supporting about 120 local families. All work done by volunteers.

Eligible families receive 1 box of food/items/month

All non-perishable donations gratefully received; however, for this drive they are asking for: canned soups/stews/meats/fish; apple juice; canned pasta; cereals; canned veggies; pork and beans; and children’s drinking boxes/snacks. Please ensure current Best Before Dates (BBD)

Operation Scugog is a registered charity, so they can accept cash donations. Tax receipt issued for any amount. In lieu of a food donation, please consider a cash donation and mail directly to Operation Scugog.

Cash donations are used to purchase such items as: milk, eggs, cheese, hamburger, margarine, instant coffee & tea.
Rotary Donation Bags

People wishing to donate can utilize their own bag/containers (Please mark them Rotary 2014 Food Drive) or Port Perry Rotary has about 200 cloth donation bags available. These will be distributed by Rotarians in the community.

Each Bag has a Tag attached, that provides donors with information, including suggested donation items, bag drop locations (see below) etc.

Rotary Club anticipates donations of about 10 lbs/bag or 2,000 lbs
Drop off For Rotary Bag once filled:
Bags filled with donations can be dropped off to any Rotary member or at the following locations:
- A. Oppers Ltd. – 193 North Street – Monday to Friday 9-5 pm
- Port Perry Dental Centre – 238 Queen Street – Monday to Thursday 8-8pm, Friday 8-4pm and Saturday 9-1pm
- Port Perry Flow Yoga Studio – 183 Casimir Street, Unit 2 (check their website for hours)
- Scotiabank – 1535 Hwy 7A – Mon.-Wed 9:30-4pm; Thurs & Fri 9:30-8pm; Sat 9:30-3pm
- Three local grocery stores (check website for hours):
- Vos Independent, 1893 Scugog Street
- Foodland, 278 Queen St
- Food Basics - 1894 Scugog Street
