The Foundation Walk is upon us again! This year's walk is being hosted and organized by the Rotary Clubs of Toronto. The walk will be held on Sunday, September 21st at the George Brown College Waterfront Campus. The 5km walk route (with shortcut options) will feature the Distillery District, the Berkley Street Theatre, Toronto's first post office and many other wonderful sights! There will activities for kids and dogs are welcome as well! The Rotary Clubs of Toronto are also collecting unwanted electronics to raise money for the Foundation.

Why is this important? The purpose of the Foundation Walk is to bring all the Clubs in District 7070 together in a family-oriented setting and to meet each other in person and get to know one another. The second purpose is to provide an opportunity for clubs and members to contribute to their annual giving to the Rotary Foundation. The goal for this year's walk is to exceed the amount of money raised last year.

The Rotary Foundation keeps the tradition and functioning of Rotary around the world. Each year, the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation set a goal for the Annual Fund -- the fund that feeds the World Fund. This year, the goal is set for $123 million US, with each Rotarian being asked to contribute a minimum of $100. Let's help to make this a reality!!
